3- Comment policy
Basically, it’s just the usual common sense rules. Such as:
- No spamming, advertising, and so on. All of those (if they pass the spam filter, that is) will be brutally deleted as soon as detected.
- Be nice to everyone (including the author). Disagree and correct people at will, but no personal insults, cheap sarcasm, straw man arguments (“ah, you just want to…”), and so on.
- If you want to ask me a question that’s not related to any post, please email me (see the about me page), instead of posting a comment under an unrelated post.
- No shortcuts / “solutions”. In other words, if a post of mine inspires you to tell of a related experience of yours, and how you handled it, go ahead. But, please, no stuff like “Just read this book; I read it and it changed my life / solved all my problems which were just like yours”. Thank you for caring (unless you’re the author of the book, in which case see the first entry on this list), but, it’s not that I don’t believe you, it’s just that it would 1) change the subject, and 2) disrupt my “experiment” with myself and my sharing of it.
- No preaching of any kind. This applies mostly to religious preaching, of course, but also to preaching about a particular lifestyle, diet, philosophy of life, and so on.
