Objectives: March 24 to March 29, 2009

Not really that changed from last week’s, so you may check that link if you forgot what they were. :) The main change is that now I have a weight goal: 80 kg or less, by next Sunday. Which means losing 1.4 kg – not that much, but I can’t slack off either.

I’ll have to keep paying special attention to what I eat; whenever I get distracted, my two bad habits come to the fore: too much food in the plate, and eating everything on it, even if I feel satisfied before. What I leave in the plate doesn’t help any starving children whether I eat it or not, and there’s no point in eating more than I really need.

Objectives: March 18 to March 22

Yes, I know it’s not a full week. As I said last post, I’m starting tomorrow.

Anyway, here goes:

  • exercise before going to work (“soft” stuff at first, as I’m completely out of shape, but to be increased as time passes), with no exceptions or excuses
  • eat better: little to no carbohydrates, more fruit and vegetables (yes, I know it could be better, but it’s a start)
  • eat less: pay more attention to quantities, stop eating while still a little hungry, and stop acting as if it’s a “sin” to leave anything on the plate – even, and especially, when eating out
  • be more sociable: talk to friends just to say hi, don’t avoid talking to co-workers or strangers, smile to people, look them in the eyes
  • make sure the housekeeper on Monday doesn’t have anything to do except iron clothes, change bed clothes, or wash the floor (instead of wasting time, say, washing dishes and other relatively easy / not-too-boring stuff)
  • spend as little money as possible
  • don’t drink alone. At all.
